Why is Leonhart half human : Leonhart was born to a beast and a human. After his father passed away due to his wounds, Capel tore him from his mother and returned to Ozmargo with him. His existence was announced to the people simultaneously as the queen's death. The people assumed that, the queen sacrificed her life to "bear" him.

Why is Sariphi always barefoot : Barefoot Captives / Prefers Going Barefoot: As a sacrifice, Sariphi isn't allowed to wear shoes. The captive part is subverted as she becomes Leo's consort.
