I'm a huge LOTR fan and this game hit every note for me. The stealth gameplay was top notch, the nemesis system was incredible and truly innovative. Got the platinum trophy.

As far as content and material, I gave this game a 12+ due to the amount of action in this title. The violence in this game is similar to that to the movies, so if your child has watched those with out any problems, they should be fine.

Overall, Normal stays fairly balanced between being challenging but sometimes forgiving. However, those looking for even more of a challenge – or who have played through the game before – may opt to try out the Gravewalker difficulty in Shadow of War instead.

While, not perfect, it was still pretty great for a Tolkien / Middle Earth inspired game and I hope to get more sequels in the future, as long as they don't stray too far from the literature or take too many liberties with the source material.
