The 3,000-capacity venue is home to ABBA Voyage, which put the foursome back on stage when it opened in May 2022. It's not actually them on stage, however, but "Abbatars" — yes, that's what they're called — consisting of AR versions of Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn, and Anni-frid (aka Frida). Full disclosure: I'm an ABBA fan.Instead of relying on conventional holograms, ABBA Voyage turned to motion capture technology to create digital avatars that could replicate the band's movements and expressions faithfully.With motion capture technology, Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid appear life-like on stage to perform the full setlist, complete with singing, dancing and piano-playing.

Did ABBA perform live

ABBA last live performance was in 1982 when they performed on the Noel Edwards show and played “Thank You For The Music” in front of a small audience. More recently 2022 all four members were seen together in London where they performed in their Avatar production of ABBA Voyage.

Leaving the concert was easy and getting back onto the DLR hassle free.You will cry because Abba Voyage is a genuinely new invention that will see your brain forming new synaptic networks even as you watch and sing along. This is a moment in technology as pivotal as recorded sound; or the first cinema tents, the footage of oncoming trains making audiences scream.The romantic relationships and subsequent breakups in ABBA were partly what led to the end of the group. While feelings have probably been smoother over in the last few decades, all four individuals have long since moved on with their lives and probably feel it's better left in the past.

The show was a bit too loud I think (am I getting old), to the point, where the voices of Agnetha and Frida were not recognizable for me anymore. So at places I'd say I wouldn't even be able to tell if the songs were sung by two other singers during the loudest parts.

How do the ABBA Voyage holograms work : “We're using a process called motion capture, which you've probably seen in movies,” he said. “We use these little dots to take the maths out your body. We take all these zeroes and ones and put them into a computer and build an avatar. It's a long process.

Did ABBA lip synch : It appears that ABBA, Roxy Music and Kate Bush were all actually lip-syncing to their original studio recordings, rather than lip-syncing to re-recordings for the TV special, or even performing live vocals and or instruments to backing tracks. Different releases of the program had different guests.

What songs are not in ABBA Voyage concert

A couple of the songs played weren't even released in the UK. They didn't play 'Money Money Money', Take a Chance on Me', 'I Have a Dream' and 'Super Trouper' – very disappointing. I paid a lot to see this concert, so I expected to hear all of the greatest hits.
